Home for Good is a national campaign driven by individuals and organizations throughout the nation concerned about housing opportunities. Since the National Council of La Raza (NCLR) launched the campaign in April 2011, it has been adapted by many to respond to the individual needs of their neighborhoods. The Opportunity Agenda, National CAPACD, National Urban League, Kirwan Institute, Homes on the Hill, Center for Responsible Lending, Housing and Education Alliance, and National Fair Housing Alliance have been among the more than 70 partners in this effort, and we are excited to watch the Home for Good family grow.
Home for Good was designed to ensure that local and national leaders do not forget about the many who are on the brink of foreclosure, struggling to find an affordable rental, or losing critical resources such as housing counseling, which is proven in helping families hold on to their homes.
The Home for Good campaign is here to voice these concerns but also highlight positive models that work. Since its inception, the campaign has benefitted from many successes in advancing housing policy reform to preserve what for many families is their largest single asset—their home.
